Regular fit or relaxed
The cashmere V-necks come in more than one fit, and that's the real choice — they're 100% cashmere with a deep V and a ribbed band, but they hang differently. A regular fit follows the body and sits at the mid-to-lower hip; it's the v neck pullover you wear under a blazer. A relaxed one has a drop shoulder, forward seams and a curved hi-lo hem, and it's heavier in the hand. Neat, or moving — that's the decision.
The lighter, open knits
Knit in a thick ropey tape yarn on a loose gauge, so they're airy and easy in warm weather — and genuinely semi-sheer. Daylight passes through. That's how they're made rather than a fault, but it means you'll want a camisole or a slip underneath, and it's worth knowing before you order. Rolled edges at the neck, cuffs and hem, side slits and a curved hem. These run large, so size down for a true fit. Cotton blend, not pure cotton.
On color
Black and navy do the quiet work under a jacket. The lighter neutrals — oatmeal, stone, buttermilk, driftwood — show the knit v neck sweater's texture more, so they read softer and sit forward. The open knits come in the brighter end of the range, which is where they belong on a warm day.

Keeping them
For cashmere we recommend dry cleaning — it's the safest way to keep the shape and the hand, and on a V-neck the neckband is the part you want holding its line. If you're experienced with washing cashmere, a gentle cool wash and a flat dry works too. The cotton blends machine-wash cold on a gentle cycle, laid flat to dry. Store folded rather than hung.
