Women's cashmere cardigans for the in-between
A cardigan does the quiet work in a wardrobe — the layer you add over what you're already wearing, on for the cold side of the room and off when the afternoon warms. Every cardigan here is knit from 100% Grade A cashmere — longer, finer fibers that feel soft from the first wear, hold their shape instead of stretching out, and only get better the more you reach for them.
Open, long, boyfriend or zip-up — pick yours by shape
Some sit relaxed and easy, like the Cashmere Boyfriend Cardigan you'll throw over almost anything. Others give you more to wrap up in — the Long Cashmere Cardigan runs longer through the body, while a zip-up cardigan closes all the way when you want the warmth held in. There are open, nothing-to-fasten drapes for milder days and cleaner button-up shapes when you want a more finished line. The grid above shows everything in stock right now.
Why Grade A cashmere holds up
Cashmere is warm out of proportion to its weight, so a single fine-gauge layer carries you through a cool day without the bulk of wool. Grade A fibers are longer and finer than lower grades, which is what keeps a cardigan from pilling quickly or losing its shape — it softens with wear rather than wearing out. A little surface pilling early on is normal even with good cashmere; lift it with a cashmere comb and the knit settles. Cared for gently, it's a layer you keep for years.
How a cashmere cardigan should fit
Ours run to an easy, true-to-size fit. For a looser, more relaxed drape, size up; for a closer line, size down. Each product page has its own size guide and measurements, so you can see how a style is cut.
Layer them up
Cashmere layers best with more cashmere. Wear one open over a lightweight cashmere sweater, or add a cashmere hoodie underneath on cold mornings. For cotton layers in warmer months, see the cotton collection.
Caring for cashmere — and easy returns
To hold the shape and softness, dry cleaning is the safest route. If you wash at home, hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent and lay flat to dry, away from the dryer and direct heat. And if something isn't right, exchanges and store credit are easy within 21 days — our Return & Refund Policy has the details.
